卡蘿麥坎(美國)
導演,編舞,肢體律動,表演,美國德州星空下劇院製作總監

來自美國德州地區的百老匯歌舞劇名師,專長音樂劇製作、導演、編舞、表演等專業領域,曾擔任休斯頓大學戲劇系教授、猶太社區中心卡普蘭劇院總監,現任德州著名TUTS劇院之製作總監,對各年齡階層之學員,皆有超過三十年以上之百老匯歌舞劇教學經驗,她所教授的畢業生廣布於全美各地,從事專業表演及教學之工作,有些已前進紐約百老匯發展個人演藝生涯。在為青少年及社區所設計的音樂劇訓練營隊部份,成績更是卓越,經常巡迴全美各地舉行夏令營、週末工作坊、專業課程等。除了以上教學資歷外,卡蘿麥坎並從事劇本寫作、新音樂劇創作等。


麥可帕克斯馬斯特森(美國)
男低音、舞蹈、爵士舞、踢躂舞、舞台實務、導演

目前活躍於美國與日本的百老匯表演工作者,畢業於德州安傑羅州立大學、德州大學以及琵琶第音樂院,演出經歷包括Driving Miss Daisy之Hoke、Grease之Teen Angel,以及歌劇魅影、悲慘世界等著名歌舞劇,其他著稱之演出包括2000年於美國白宮與女高音Renee Fleming同台演出「聖誕在白宮」音樂會。教學經歷包括德州聖安東尼奧市之安傑羅音樂院、亞特蘭大百老匯舞蹈劇院、蒙哥馬利市阿摩利表演藝術中心,以及日本東京之「Vivace」表演藝術課程等。導演過之作品包括了Grease、Annie等以及諸多為青少年寫作之音樂劇作品



賈克琳卡珮柏(美國)
女高音,美國北卡羅萊納大衛森學院

抒情女高音,演出經歷橫跨歌劇與神劇中之85個角色,並與美國之聲基金會合作過四次的歐洲巡迴,她並曾於美國華盛頓之甘乃迪中心、亞特蘭大交響廳中演出,後者更與Robert Shaw同台。在美國之聲基金會的安排之下,她曾在比利時與廬森堡為第二次世界大戰突出部戰役五十週年紀念音樂會中擔綱演唱部份,同時應邀為美國駐德大使館演唱。近年來重心轉移至亞洲,前往越南西貢音樂院教授當地聲樂學生演唱美國歌舞劇曲目,並於河內及胡志明市舉辦電視轉播音樂會。回到美國本土,她並活躍於國家公共電視台,演出「Cole Porter之夜」與「向音樂劇傑作致敬」,並與各大城市交響樂團合作。在教學經歷方面,資深的賈克琳卡珮柏目前任教於美國北卡羅萊納大衛森學院,並舉辦年度聲樂營隊,於世界各地獻身音樂教育。



艾拉史博丁(美國)
男中音與指揮,荷蘭阿姆斯特丹音樂院

出生於美國紐約,紐澤西州威斯敏斯特合唱學院學士,東肯塔基大學聲樂語合唱指揮碩士,專長於聲樂、聲樂教學法、合唱指揮、爵士合唱團等。1981年轉往歐洲發展,曾應Jessye Norman邀請演唱並錄音「Great Day in the Morning」之男中音角色,亦於阿姆斯特丹大會堂與阿姆斯特丹愛樂管絃樂團合作演出神劇「彌賽亞」等,旅荷期間並經常受邀演出大型神劇、安魂曲、古典歌劇及浪漫樂派作品。在百老匯歌舞劇部份,自1992年起曾經在荷蘭陸續演出「Porgy and Bess」、「Showboat」、「Oklahoma」等劇碼。與美國之聲基金會的合作中,包含在諸多前蘇聯新興國家、東歐、東南亞地區演出推廣美國作曲家經典曲目,及百老匯歌舞劇曲目音樂會等主題。目前任教於荷蘭阿姆斯特丹音樂院。



約翰費古森(美國)
歌舞劇曲目鋼琴伴奏技巧,美國作曲家與風格,現任美國之聲藝術總監

來自於美國德州休斯頓,在取得德州大學音樂系鋼琴碩士文憑後,前往法國巴黎及瑞士日內瓦繼續向Nadia Boulanger、Maroussia le Marc'hadour、 Danielle Martin,、Eugene List及Edith Lateiner-Grosz等名家學習,並從此展開他的職業演奏生涯,迄今已於歐洲、北美、南美、中東、亞洲,俄國、中亞等地演出超過百場音樂會、現場轉播,以及大師班講座等,足跡遍佈全世界70個國家。1993年他創立了美國之聲基金會,其宗旨在於增進世界上各角落對美國文化的認識與欣賞,尤其是在諸多需要豐沛蓬勃文化卻缺乏資源挹注的地區,如東南亞、前蘇聯新興國家、東歐、中南美洲等地,藉由演奏美國當代作曲家曲目,並舉辦爵士樂、百老匯歌舞劇等研習營隊及音樂節,來促進藝術文化的交流,諸如亞塞拜然、烏茲別克、吉爾吉斯、匈牙利、緬甸、寮國、柬埔寨、泰國、越南、約旦、黎巴嫩、敘利亞、玻利維亞、烏拉圭等地,皆為約翰費古森及美國之聲致力奉獻之地區。當然在德國、法國、日本、台灣等地,亦建立了良好的互動關係,著稱的活動,有首次將美國百老匯歌舞劇曲目「Porgy and Bess」、「West Side Story」重現於越南的音樂會及研習營、哈薩克與亞塞拜然有史以來首屆舉辦的國際爵士音樂節,以及在台灣舉行的國際爵士樂夏令研習營等。


張凱雅(台灣)
爵士鋼琴,歌舞劇伴奏,比利時布魯塞爾皇家音樂院爵士鋼琴演奏碩士

四歲學習鋼琴,台南家專(現台南女子技術學院)音樂科、中國文化大學音樂系西樂組畢業,完成鋼琴、大提琴、專業伴奏、總譜彈奏、現代樂作曲、指揮等課程。後留學比利時五年,獲布魯塞爾皇家音樂院爵士暨拉丁鋼琴演奏碩士,為國內少見古典爵士兼備之高學歷專業樂手,留歐期間曾擔任校內百老匯歌舞劇曲目音樂會鋼琴伴奏,並研習指揮等相關課程。2002年回國後除忙碌的「啟彬與凱雅的二重奏」演出行程之外,並經常受邀於北藝大、輔大、實踐、文化、誠品書店、山葉樂器等舉辦講座及寫作,亦與謝啟彬共同擔任「啟彬與凱雅的爵士棧」網站主筆,教育爵士樂學子,2005年三月擔任著名爵士鋼琴家D.D. Jackson來台大師班講座講師之一。目前任教於實踐大學,教授流行音樂探討等課程。

Carole McCann (USA)
Director , Choreographer , Executive Diretctor of Theatre
Under The Stars , Texas
Carole McCann combines a strong theatrical background with a diversified liberal arts education giving a very special flavor to her gift of teaching in the performing arts. Her 40 years in the business have netted extensive credits, including over 500 musicals, children's shows, operas, revues, showcases, nightclub acts, TV shows, films, student productions, and choral presentations. Miss McCann was on the faculty of the University of Houston's Department of Drama for seven years.

Since l982, she has served as the Executive Director of Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) Humphreys School of Musical Theatre. Her multi-talents have nurtured this professional performing arts educational program to its present size, serving 2000+ families annually at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, with classes in musical theatre performance - singing, dancing, and acting - for ages four through adult.

Her rave-review HSMT educational programs include professional career training classes, weekend workshops, specialty seminars, master classes, and popular Winter and Summer Performing Arts Camps, with productions encompassing everything from end-of-term shows to full-scale HSMT Student Matinee Musicals like THE WIZARD OF OZ, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, SNOOPY!!!, and NO BUSINESS LIKE SNOW BUSINESS.

Michael Parks Masterson (USA)
Bass , Jazz Dance , Tap Dance , Choreographer、Director

Michael Parks Masterson is a sought-after performer, director, and choreographer in the United States and Japan. He has performed as Hoke in Driving Miss Daisy, Teen Angel in Grease, Ophelia in 15 Minute Hamlet, and Jim in Big River in addition to performing as a bass soloist in multiple Broadway revues. He also performed on Broadway in Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. His most memorable moment was performing at the White House with renowned soprano, Renee Fleming, in the 2000 “Christmas at the White House” concert.

Michael has also taught dance, music, and theatre in youth and young adult programs such as the Angelo Conservatory of the Arts in San Angelo, TX; Broadway Dance Theatre in Atlanta, GA; The Armory Performing Arts Centre in Montgomery, AL; and the Vivace Performing Arts Program in Tokyo, Japan. His directing credits include Grease, Beehive, Annie, Cotton Patch Gospel, Forever Plaid, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Songs for a New World, and Seussical the Musical as well as two teen theatre workshops including Godspell and Once on this Island.

His studies include a degree from Angelo State University in Texas and graduate studies at the University of Texas and the Peabody Conservatory.


Jacquelyn Culpepper (USA)
Davidson College, USA

Jacquelyn Culpepper's lyric soprano voice has taken her across the United States, Europe and Asia. Highlights of her experience include 85 roles in opera and oratorio and four concert tours with American Voices in Europe. Culpepper's performances have taken her to prestigious concert venues such as Washington's John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Atlanta’s Symphony Hall in performances with the late Robert Shaw.

As an American Voices artist, she was a featured guest in 50th anniversary commemoration concerts for the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and Luxembourg as well as in performances for the US Embassy in Germany. She recently made her first appearances in Asia in nationally televised concerts broadcast from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During this project she worked intensively with young Vietnamese singers from the Saigon Conservatory in musical preparations and staging of the first performances of Broadway in Vietnam.

Featured in three National Public Television specials in the United States, her broadcasts include 'An Evening with Cole Poter' and 'Salute to Masterpiece Theater' with Jean Marsh. Her appearances with orchestra in the US include, Charlotte Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Breckenridge Music Institute, Canton Ohio Symphony among many others.

A veteran voice teacher, she currently serves on the faculty of Davidson College, North Carolina as Artist Associate where she also leads the annual Voice Symposium for young professional singers.


Ira Spaulding (USA)
Amsterdam Conservatory, The Netherlands

Ira Spaulding, born in New York, studied with Robert Simpson at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey (Bachelor of Music) and also holds a Master of Music in Voice and Choral Conducting from Eastern Kentucky University. He is currently on the faculty of the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music.

Since moving to Europe in 1981 his reputation as a choral conductor, soloist and teacher has grown. In 1982 he was invited by Jessye Norman to sing the baritone role in the Robert Wilson production and recording in Paris of "Great Day in the Morning".

Ira Spaulding’s collaborations with American Voices have included extensive touring in Latin America, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Recent projects include conducting and solo appearances in Porgy and Bess in Bolivia, Bangkok and Kazakhstan. He has directed performances of West Side Story in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan as well as conducted American Choral music projects in Lithuania, Estonia, Bosnia, and numerous others.


John Ferguson (USA)
Pianist and Artistic Director of American Voices

John Ferguson currently resides in Houston, Texas and Bangkok, Thailand where he carries out his dual roles as pianist and Executive Director of American Voices Foundation. His performing activities include over one hundred concerts, broadcasts and masterclasses per year throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East.

John Ferguson first studied music at the High School for the Performing Arts in his hometown of Houston, Texas and completed his studies at the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Master's Diploma. Additional studies took him to Paris where he was a student of Nadia Boulanger and to Geneva where he studied with Maroussia le Marc'hadour.His piano teachers have included Danielle Martin, Eugene List and Edith Lateiner-Grosz.

His touring schedule regularly takes him through Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. In Europe he has appeared in prestigious venues such as Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Theatre de la Ville and Radio France in Paris, and Bonn's Kunst- und Austellungshalle. Festival appearances include the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation's "Flaneries de Reims", Germany's "Altmark Musikfest" , "A(r)tlantische Tage" and "American Music Week-Bonn". Radio and television broadcasts have reached millions in countries such as Vietnam, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Germany, France, and India to name only a few.

John Ferguson's recordings include 'Rhapsody in Blue' with the Junge Philharmonie Thuringen, 'Saxofolies' for EPM, 'Jazz Bridges' for American Voices and a solo recording, 'Variations on America' to be released in 2006.


Kai-ya Chang (Taiwan)
Master's Degree of Jazz Piano , Royal Conservatory of Brussels , Belgium , Jazz and Classical Pianist

Born in Tainan , Taiwan , started playing classical piano at the age of 4, graduated from Music Section of Tainan Junior College of Home Economics, Music Department of Chinese Culture University. She graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Belgium with the Masters Degree in Jazz & Latin Piano in 2002, soon went back to her country - Taiwan, dedicates herself into a professional jazz pianist and composer in various genres. Besides performing with"Chipin & Kaiya's Duo Project", regular concerts/tours and well-received Concert in National Recital Hall Taipei in 11th August 2003, she is a well-known jazz piano educator In Taiwan & neighbor regions as well. Some of other noted performances include “When Taiwanese Opera Meets Jazz”with the fabulous Taiwanese Opera singer/actress Mei-yun Tang, and the performances in the Java International Jazz Festival in Jakarta

Kai-ya Chang is teaching in Shih Chien University and she is the faculty member of Taipei International Summer Jazz Academy & Broadway Academy since 2004.
