緣起
2005年首度舉行的國際百老匯歌舞劇研習營，由五位中外國際師資及四十五位來自全台各地的學員共同渡過一個難忘的星期，這群從16歲至50歲的音樂劇愛好者，有年輕學生、有學校教師，當然也包含了隱身於各行各業中的業餘愛好者及亮眼的百老匯明日之星。
2006年度，我們的國際師資增添為六人，特邀具有百老匯豐富演出經驗的麥可帕克斯馬斯特森來台執教，也因此能將規劃更多舞蹈、戲劇之相關課程。同時，我們也開始對亞洲鄰近國家招生，擴大各地熱愛音樂劇的學員參與，真正邁向國際化，我們也誠摯地邀請大家都前來參與這個前所未有的營隊。
在課程規劃方面，除了原本的歌唱、聲音維護等，今年度更著重於以下範疇︰
舞蹈—學習更多與百老匯歌舞劇相關的舞蹈風格如爵士舞、踢躂舞等
戲劇—藉由經典之歌舞劇片段，精進您的演技、琢磨您的即興
舞台—更多百老匯實戰磨練之舞台肢體表現經驗分享
兒童戲劇教學—特別為學校教師開設兒童音樂劇教學法課程

The second Taipei International Summer Broadway
Academy 2006 will run from July 30th to August 4th, 2006.
Applications being accepted now for auditions on June 11th
2006.

About TISBA
In 2005, The TISBA featured a faculty of five and approximately
45 students from throughout Taiwan ranging in age from 16
to 50. We welcomed all aspiring Broadway performers and fans,
ranging from young music students and public school teachers
to talented amateurs and young professionals.
In 2006 we are expanding our program to include
a faculty of six, with the addition of young Broadway star
Michael Parks Masterson, and are opening our program to international
participants from throughout Asia.
With this expanded faculty we will be able to
sort the group according to individual levels for singing,
dance and acting classes.
This is a unique study opportunity for Asia and
we want this to be available to all in the region.
In addition to the ongoing study of good singing
and vocal health, this year will feature additional focus
on the following areas:
Dance – Study of even more Broadway styles
such as Jazz and Tap
Acting – more classes to sharpen your acting skills through
improvisation
Study of excerpts from two famous musicals: Les Miserables
and Grease!
Staging – chance to observe more in-depth staging preparations
with excerpts from Les Miserables and Grease
Special workshops in teaching musicals for children
